US Airways Pilots’ Seniority Suit V. Union Tossed

Law360 (May 12, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal judge has grounded a suit filed by a group of US Airways pilots claiming the US Airline Pilots Association union failed to use appropriate start dates to determine their positions on a seniority list after the airline merged with America West Airlines Inc., finding the claims not yet ripe.
