Ky. Says Distributor Failed To Police Opioid Prescriptions

Law360 (February 20, 2018, 4:46 PM EST) -- Drug distributor Cardinal Health has exacerbated the opioid epidemic by filling suspicious drug orders and neglecting to alert the authorities about them, Kentucky's attorney general claimed in a suit filed Monday in state court.

Andy Beshear said Cardinal shipped orders of opioids throughout Kentucky that were unusually large and frequent and deviated from a past pattern, shunning its own data and “common sense” in favor of profits and market share.
