Microsoft Claims E.C. Casts Doubt On Vista Launch

Law360, New York (September 14, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Taking another jab at the European Commission, Microsoft Corp. complained Thursday that the regulator has left the company in the dark over its concerns about Microsoft’s Vista Windows operating system.

A Microsoft spokesperson said the Commission has not yet clarified its concerns about Vista’s security upgrades.

"This creates a regulatory vacuum in which to launch the product. We urge the Commission sooner rather than later to come forward with their concerns," the spokesperson told Dow Jones International News.
