Aluminum Distributors Settle Antitrust Spat

Law360 (May 13, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Just as jury selection for a trial was getting under way, Ryerson Tull Inc. and other leading U.S. aluminum distributors have resolved a dispute that alleged the companies engaged in a conspiracy with mills to keep a competitor from entering the distribution market.

Judge Joe Heaton of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Oklahoma ordered the case closed on Wednesday after being notified that the plaintiff, Champagne Metals, had reached a "compromise and settlement" with the distributors.
