Pharma Group Takes Swipe At EU Antitrust Probe

Law360, New York (May 14, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- An official from the European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations has reportedly taken aim at a preliminary inquiry from the European Commission's Directorate General for Competition into whether Europe's pharmaceutical companies are blocking generic competition, arguing that the inquiry's findings could weaken patent enforcement rules and hinder innovation.
