Water Infrastructure Aid Bill Advances To Full Senate

Law360 (May 14, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Having clinched committee approval, a bill co-sponsored by Sens. Benjamin L. Cardin, D-Md., and James Inhofe, R-Okla., that would reauthorize and increase funding for states seeking to upgrade water infrastructure systems to comply with the Clean Water Act is headed to the full Senate.

The bipartisan support the Water Infrastructure Financing Act garnered during a 17-2 vote to approve the legislation in the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee on Thursday indicates that the bill has a good shot of winning Senate approval, Inhofe said....
