Holland & Knight Helps Bring Reforms To Fla. Prisons

By Carolina Bolado (March 2, 2018, 6:27 PM EST) -- After more than a year of negotiations with the Florida Department of Corrections, Holland & Knight LLP attorneys, working with Disability Rights Florida and others, recently helped secure a settlement that should help inmates with severe and persistent psychiatric disabilities get the treatment they need.

The team of Jacksonville-based Holland & Knight attorneys, working in tandem with lawyers from DRF and Florida Legal Services, negotiated a deal that was the result of a multiyear investigation by DRF into several deaths, including suicides, within Florida prisons.
