Antitrust Suit Against Eaton Corp. Can Proceed

Law360, New York (May 15, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal judge has ruled ZF Meritor LLC and Meritor Transmission Corp. may proceed with antitrust claims accusing Eaton Corp. of monopolizing the more than $1 billion market for heavy-duty manual transmissions in North America.

Judge Sue L. Robinson of the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware on Thursday denied Eaton's motion for summary judgment on the merits of the antitrust claims, but said she would consider a motion on a statute of limitations defense.
