8th Circ. Revives HR Manager's Equal Pay Claims

Law360 (May 15, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal appeals court has ruled that an electric motor manufacturer should not have received summary judgment after being sued by one of its former human resources managers who claimed that a man hired to replace her had received a substantially larger salary than she did simply on the basis of his gender.
