Onyx Sues Partner Bayer Over New Cancer Treatment

Law360, New York (May 18, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Onyx Pharmaceuticals Inc. has sued Bayer AG, accusing its longtime partner of surreptitiously developing a successor treatment to their joint cancer drug Nexavar.

In the lawsuit filed Friday in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, Onyx asserted its rights to a Phase 2 anti-cancer compound that it says was discovered during joint research between it and Bayer.
