Experian Expands UK Market Reach With $385M Fintech Buy

Law360 (March 15, 2018, 5:53 PM EDT) -- Credit information company Experian has agreed to buy a U.K.-based consumer credit data organization for £275m ($385 million) as a means to extend its reach into the U.K. market, the company said Thursday.

Experian will buy ClearScore, which provides consumers with credit reports and scores and directs them to personal finance products and offers geared toward their individual circumstances. ClearScore says it has 6 million people in the U.K. enrolled in its services through its free membership model.
