Xavier, Travelers Strike Deal In Katrina Coverage Suit

Law360 (May 26, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Travelers Property Casualty Co. and Xavier University have reached an agreement in a dispute over coverage for millions of dollars in damage from Hurricane Katrina, bringing the case to a close.

Judge Sarah Vance of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana on Friday dismissed the action without costs and without prejudice, saying that she had been advised by the parties “that they have firmly agreed on a compromise in the matter.”

Further details of the agreement were not immediately available.
