Exxon Wins Dismissal Of Field Trip Injury Suit

Law360, New York (May 26, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal judge has granted Exxon Mobil Corp.'s bid to dismiss a suit brought by a group of parents who claimed their children were injured by falling chemicals while on a field trip at a facility owned by the oil giant.

Judge Kurt D. Engelhardt ruled in favor of ExxonMobil in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana on Friday, finding that the plaintiffs' lack of timely conduct throughout the court proceedings was sufficient grounds to dismiss their case.
