Law360 (April 16, 2018, 1:29 PM EDT) -- Startups and projects raised $5.6 billion through initial coin offerings last year[1] and are keeping up the pace in 2018.[2] At the beginning of this year, the aggregate market capitalization of cryptocurrencies hit an all-time high of more than $800 billion in early January, before severely falling.[3] Despite the recent significant drop in value, some foresee that the cryptocurrency market will hit the $1 trillion mark in 2018.[4]
