Stiefel Hits KV With Patent Suit Over Acne Gel

Law360 (May 28, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Dermatology company Stiefel Laboratories Inc. has accused KV Pharmaceutical Co. of infringing a patent for Duac topical gel, an acne medication.

In a lawsuit filed Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware, Stiefel claims that KV recently filed an abbreviated new drug application with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for a product that would infringe the patent.
