CPSC Chief Nancy Nord To Step Down

Law360, New York (May 29, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission's controversial acting chair, Nancy Nord, is reportedly stepping down from her post, but will remain at the agency as a commissioner.

The CPSC's other current commissioner, Thomas Moore, will replace Nord as acting head of the agency on June 1, until President Barack Obama's pick for a new chairman can be confirmed by the Senate, the Associated Press reported Friday.
