Kmart To Pay Fine In Sexual Harassment Suit

Law360, New York (September 20, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Kmart Corp. has reached an agreement to pay a fine and make policy changes following an alleged sexual assault by a former supervisor of a Pennsylvania store on a former teenage employee.

The consent decree filed Tuesday resolves a federal lawsuit between Troy, Mich.-based Kmart and the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), which lodged the suit in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania in September 2005.
