Firms Focus Marketing On Client Retention: Report

Law360, New York (June 3, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Looking to deepen relationships with existing clients amid the recession, marketing teams at law firms are spending a substantial portion of their budgets for 2009 on business development, according to a survey of legal marketing executives.

The BTI Consulting Group’s study, released Wednesday, looked at law firm marketing strategies and found that at least 30 percent of all firms’ marketing budgets are dedicated to the goal of business development.
