Fla. Threatens To Revoke Liberty National's License

Law360, New York (June 5, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Florida's insurance commissioner has ordered Liberty National Life Insurance Co. to show why the state should let the insurer keep its license, amid allegations that the company illegally discriminated against individuals seeking policies on the basis of their national origin — including more than half of all Haitian applicants.
