Alaska High Court Shoots Down Wage Act Amendment

Law360 (June 9, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The Supreme Court of Alaska has come out with a ruling that will allow a class of Hageland Aviation Services Inc. pilots to collect $1.6 million in unpaid overtime wages.

In an opinion issued Friday, the state high court unanimously affirmed that a 2005 law violated the takings and contract clauses of the Alaska Constitution.
