SunTrust Says Citi Poached Employees, Trade Secrets

Law360 (June 10, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- SunTrust Banks Inc. has accused Citigroup Global Markets Inc. of hiring four SunTrust wealth management employees who have been using trade secrets from their old job to recruit their former customers to Citigroup.

In a suit filed Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, SunTrust names as defendants, in addition to Citigroup, one of the two SunTrust wealth management vice presidents who defected: Thomas Cleary of Fairfax, Va.
