Entergy Wins Bid To Break Up Race Bias Case

Law360, New York (June 10, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal judge has granted Entergy Corp.'s request to split up a race discrimination suit brought by a group of black job applicants against the power giant, agreeing that it would be inappropriate to consider all of the plaintiffs together.

Judge Brian Miller of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Arkansas on Monday granted Entergy's motion to sever the case, ruling that separate trials are needed for plaintiffs Kevin Tanner, Lacy Miles and James Walker.
