250 Plaintiffs Barred From $1B Exxon Gas Leak Suit

Law360 (June 10, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A Maryland judge has reportedly barred 250 additional plaintiffs from joining a $1 billion lawsuit against Exxon Mobil Corp. over an undetected gas leak at a service station that contaminated surrounding groundwater supplies.

Judge Susan Souder of the Baltimore County Circuit Court said she found “no good cause” to allow the additional 250 plaintiffs to join the suit over a leak that poured more than 25,000 gallons of gas into the ground over a monthlong period, the Maryland Daily Record reported.
