Hayes Lemmerz Wants Unions To Cut Retiree Benefits

Law360, New York (June 11, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- With bankrupt automotive wheel maker Hayes Lemmerz International Inc. hamstrung by massive retiree obligations, the bankruptcy court overseeing the company’s reorganization has given word that the various unions representing the Hayes work force will have to form a retiree committee to help the debtor trim its retiree benefits.
