Micrel and Monolithic Settle Patent, Trade Secrets Suit

Law360, New York (September 22, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Micrel Inc. and Monolithic Power Systems Inc. are putting a patent infringement and trade secret misappropriation lawsuit behind them, settling the case and dismissing all claims and counterclaims with prejudice, the companies announced on Thursday.

Under the terms of the settlement, Monolithic agreed to pay Micrel $3 million. Micrel agreed to license to Monolithic the two patents in dispute, which regard semiconductor manufacturing processes and semiconductor design elements.
