ABA At Risk Of Being Fiscally Nonviable, Internal Memos Say

Law360 (July 9, 2018, 2:23 PM EDT) -- The American Bar Association faces an uncertain future if it continues on its current track of shedding dues payers and losing revenues, according to a pair of internal memos to the association's board of governors written in June.

Two memos updating the association's leaders on proposed changes to its membership model paint a grim picture of an organization that, according to internal data, is fated to be "irrelevant and fiscally unviable" if it cannot reverse course and combat the trend of declining membership.
