US Foodservice Loses Bid To Drop Teamsters Suit

Law360, New York (June 12, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A Missouri judge has refused to dismiss a case brought by a teamsters union against U.S. Foodservice seeking to enforce an arbitration award from a collective bargaining agreement dispute.

Judge Catherine Perry of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri denied the dismissal on Wednesday, asserting that U.S. Foodservice had failed to prove that Teamsters Local Union No. 688 was not entitled to monetary relief.

The Teamsters union represents U.S. Foodservice employees for all collective bargaining.
