Deals Rumor Mill: La Poste, CVS-Aetna, Linde-Praxair

By Adam Rhodes (July 12, 2018, 7:43 PM EDT) -- French postal service company La Poste wants to buy French bank Caisse des Depots' stake in CNP Assurances, according to a Thursday report from Reuters. Citing a source close to the postal service company, the outlet reported that the state-owned bank would trade its 41 percent CNP stake for an as-yet-undetermined stake in La Poste. The size of the La Poste stake the fund would take, however, has yet to be decided, according to the report. Reuters noted that once the exchange is complete, La Poste will merge CNP with La Banque Postale, its bank. The report comes the day after CNP said its CEO Frédéric Lavenir would resign effective Aug. 31....
