Magnequench Sues 13 Electronics Makers, Wal-Mart, Over Magnet Patents

Law360, New York (March 4, 2004, 12:00 AM EST) -- A U.S. maker of magnetic powders and magnets has sued 13 computer and electronics companies in the U.S. and Asia, as well as retailer Wal-Mart, over patents for media memory systems such as CD-ROMs and DVDs.

Magnequench International, Inc. filed one suit Thursday the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware and a second suit in Indianapolis, Indiana.
