Oil, Gas Industry Outspends Feds On Emissions: Study

Law360, New York (June 15, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The U.S. oil and gas industry has invested more money in mitigating greenhouse gas emissions since 2000 than the federal government or other industries, according to a newly published, industry-commissioned study.

The study, published Monday, estimated that the industry invested $58.4 billion from 2000 through 2008 in technology in the North American market that reduces the amount of global warming gases.
