Injunction Bid Denied, Quigley Proxy Battle Ends

Law360, New York (June 15, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal judge denied The Quigley Corp.'s final bid to stop the election of a dissident group of shareholders to its board of directors, effectively ending the brutal proxy fight and resulting in the resignation of Quigley's founder.

In a ruling Friday, Judge Gene E.K. Pratter of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania ruled that Quigley was unlikely to win in its second bid to stop Ted Karkus from taking over as chairman of Quigley's board of directors.
