Gen Re Co-Conspirator Sentenced To Probation

Law360, New York (June 16, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal judge on Tuesday placed a former chief executive officer of an affiliate of General Reinsurance Group on probation for his role in an accounting scandal at American International Group Inc.

On Tuesday, Judge Christopher F. Droney of the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut placed John Houldsworth on probation for two years. The judge also ordered Houldsworth, the former CEO of Cologne Re Dublin, an Irish affiliate of Berkshire Hathaway's General Re, to pay a $5,000 fine and to perform 400 hours...
