Enviro Groups Add Claims To Oil Shale Suit

Law360, New York (June 16, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Over a dozen environmental groups have added claims addressing wilderness protection, air quality and the impacts of global warming in a suit seeking to halt a federal regulation opening 2 million acres of public lands in the Rocky Mountain West to oil shale and tar sands leasing.

The Colorado Environmental Coalition, Natural Resources Defense Council, the Sierra Club and almost a dozen other groups filed an amended complaint on Monday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado.
