EEOC To Upgrade Rules In Line With New ADA Law

Law360, New York (June 17, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission voted Wednesday to revise its rules to conform to changes made by the ADA Amendments Act, which broadens the scope of disability protected under the law.

The EEOC voted 2-1 to adopt the regulation changes at a public meeting Wednesday morning at the agency's headquarters in Washington. The approved revisions will now go to the Office of Management and Budget for review, the commission said.
