APEC Plans Crackdown on Optical Disk Piracy

Law360, New York (October 20, 2003, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A working group will propose tougher measures to crack down on optical disk privacy at the APEC summit in Thailand this week, the IDG News Service reported.

Approved last week by senior officials from APEC governments, the report will be endorsed by government leaders during the summit. A public copy of the report will be made available on Tuesday after its approval, IDG News Service reported, citing APEC sources.
