USPTO Won't Help T-Mobile, AT&T In Patent Spat

Law360, New York (June 18, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office has nixed a proposed re-examination of patents in a dispute between AT&T Mobility LLC, T-Mobile USA Inc. and plaintiff Emsat Advanced Geo-Location Technology LLC, rekindling the court battle between them.

A motion to stay the case has been tossed at the wireless companies’ request, Judge John R. Adams of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio said in an order filed Thursday.
