Ex-Pfizer Sales Manager Sentenced For Bextra Charge

Law360, New York (June 19, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal judge has sentenced a former regional manager at Pfizer Inc. responsible for sales of Bextra to two years probation and a $75,000 fine for her role in the drugmaker's off-label marketing of the now-defunct anti-inflammatory drug.

Chief Magistrate Judge Judith G. Dein of the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts issued the sentence against Branchburg, N.J., resident Mary Holloway, 47, on Thursday based on Holloway's April guilty plea to distribution of a misbranded drug.
