Ford Illegally Disclosed Medical Information: EEOC

Law360, New York (September 25, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- An employee of Ford Motor Credit Company was shunned by his coworkers after his supervisor told them the details of his medical condition, according to a suit filed against the company.

The complaint, filed by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission under the pseudonym John Doe, accuses Ford of violating the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 by failing to keep Doe’s medical information confidential.
