FTC Issues 2nd Request In Merck-Schering Merger

Law360, New York (June 22, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The Federal Trade Commission is seeking additional information from Merck & Co. Inc. and Schering-Plough Corp. on their proposed $41.1 billion merger, the two companies said Monday.

The companies said they expected the second request as part of the regulatory process under the Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvements Act and planned to cooperate fully with the FTC.
