2nd Tax Overhaul Would Entrench Pass-Through Deduction

Law360 (September 6, 2018, 8:26 PM EDT) -- House Republicans pledged to make permanent the 20 percent deduction for pass-throughs as part of what they call “tax reform 2.0,” the next round of tax overhaul legislation, a framework released by the House Ways and Means Committee said Thursday. 

The complete text of the package, which will consist of three bills, will be released next week and will receive a vote on the House floor this month, Committee Chairman Kevin Brady, R-Texas, told reporters Thursday.
