FTC Says Authorized Generics Can Aid Competition

Law360, New York (June 25, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The Federal Trade Commission has said the use of authorized generics may help drive down drug prices, in an interim report that may signal trouble ahead for legislative proposals seeking to curb branded-drug makers' use of authorized generics to give them an edge in settlement negotiations.
