Jury Verdict for 3M's Patent Infringement Win Sticks

Law360, New York (September 27, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Sticking it to rival adhesive maker Avery Dennison Corp., the U.S. District Court in Minnesota on Wednesday reaffirmed a favorable judgment in 3M Co.’s patent infringement lawsuit over pressure-activated adhesives.

The court denied Avery Dennison’s motions seeking to overturn a previous jury verdict that favored 3M’s position. The court also affirmed a permanent injunction that bars Avery Dennison from selling the adhesive products in question.
