Philips Sues Ex-Worker Over IPod Accessory Secrets

Law360, New York (June 25, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Philips Electronics North America Corp. has filed suit against a former employee the company accuses of taking secrets related to its iPod outdoor accessory business to a competitor and using them to forge business ties with a major retail client.

The lawsuit, filed Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan, accuses Steven B. Hall and iPod accessory company Riot Outfitters LLC of misappropriation of trade secrets, tortious interference and breach of contract, among other things.
