Sea Launch 1st-Day Motions Win Court Approval

Law360, New York (June 26, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A bankruptcy judge has ruled that commercial satellite launch company Sea Launch Co. LLC can continue maintaining its bank accounts and paying its utilities and employees as it restructures under Chapter 11.

Judge Brendan Shannon of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court of Delaware on Thursday approved all of Sea Launch's first-day motions, consolidating its case with those of Sea Launch LP and subsidiaries Sea Launch ACS Ltd., Sea Launch ACS LP, Platform Co.
