DOJ Continues Probe Into $7.4B Oracle-Sun Deal

Law360, New York (June 29, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The U.S. Department of Justice has decided to continue its investigation into Oracle Corp.'s $7.4 billion acquisition of Sun Microsystems Inc., although, Oracle said, the companies have resolved nearly all the government's concerns and have only one more licensing question to handle.

Oracle announced that the probe would go forward on Friday, the deadline for the department to issue its second request on the deal.
