Sherwin-Williams Hit With $7M Lead Paint Verdict

Law360, New York (June 29, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A Mississippi jury has issued a $7 million verdict holding paint manufacturer the Sherwin-Williams Co. liable for injuries to a boy whose mother claimed he was exposed to lead-based paint.

The Jefferson County Circuit Court jury issued the verdict Thursday in favor of Trellvion Gaines and his mother, Shermeker Pollard, who claimed the house where Gaines lived was painted with lead-based Sherwin-Williams paint.
