Medtronic Sues Insurer For Worker Theft Court Costs

Law360, New York (June 30, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A Medtronic Inc. subsidiary has hit a member of the Travelers Cos. Inc. with a suit to recover defense costs from a court battle launched by a medical center claiming a former Medtronic employee stole $1.2 million of its surgical kits.

Medtronic Spine LLC filed a complaint on Monday in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of North Carolina, seeking to hold St. Paul Fire and Marine Insurance Co. liable for the litigation costs.
