Monsanto Sprayed With Herbicide Antitrust Suit

Law360, New York (September 28, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- With its patented Roundup Ready seeds at the center of the debate, Monsanto Co. has been hit with an antitrust lawsuit that accuses the agricultural giant of abusing its monopoly on herbicides.

On Thursday, plaintiff Pullen Seeds and Soil filed a class action in U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware, charging Monsanto with unfairly controlling more than 85 % of the herbicide market.
