E.U. To Shake Up Leniency Program

Law360, New York (September 29, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Seeking to toughen up its leniency program, the European Commission has proposed a series of amendments that will attempt to shed light on what companies must do to achieve immunity in cartel investigations.

On Friday, the Commission, along with the European Competition Network members, put forth a slew of amendments seeking to address the “issues that have arisen during the four years of the application of the Leniency Notice.”
