Seroquel Clinicians' Sexcapades Fair Game In MDL

Law360, New York (July 6, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A magistrate judge has denied AstraZeneca LP's pretrial motion to block evidence related to a top researcher's sexual relationships with two women who were working on clinical studies associated with Seroquel, the antipsychotic drug at the center of a storm of product liability litigation.

Magistrate Judge David A. Baker's ruling, issued Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, applies to seven cases in the first batch of lawsuits against the pharmaceutical giant heading for trial.
